I began my photo career at 17 when I took a photography class in high school and discovered I had “the eye”. Then I went through the photo dept. at Santa Monica College. Before I finished school I got a job as studio assistant to a commercial/advertising photographer for a few years then freelanced as an assistant for a few more. Then I began shooting Advertising/Product work for my own clients. I also worked for a national newspaper where I learned photojournalism. In 1983 I was asked to shoot stills on a TV commercial. I so enjoyed unit work that over the next few years I transitioned out of product work and into full time unit set coverage. I joined the IATSE camera guild Local 600 in 1989 and have been working on set ever since.
